How to fight the signs of sagging skin?

Generally, when we talk about skin in cosmetics, we refer to the skin of the face. In fact, our beauty routine includes various cleansing, moisturizing, and anti-aging products that aim to
treat only a small surface of our body-that is, the one we expose the most. However, being the largest organ of our body, it is necessary to take care of not only the skin of the face but also the skin of the body.

The skin is generally the organ most affected by the natural passage of time. The collagen and elastin within skin cells lose quality, regenerate more slowly, and tissues tend to relax.

Thus, sagging or sagging skin is defined as the loss of elasticity and firmness of the skin. Natural aging is not, however, solely responsible for skin sagging; often, other phenomena affect before time, such as

  • Significant change in weight. As early as adolescence, in fact, strong changes are observed in the human body with even sudden changes in weight. It is often at this age that the formation of stretch marks is observed due, for example, to breast growth.
  • Pregnancy. In this case, not only weight gain can be a risk factor but
especially the abrupt change in silhouette can compromise tissue elasticity.

Some areas of the body experience changes more than others by showing unsightly sagging skin. Exactly as we are concerned about intervening on our face and neck to prevent loss of tone, in the same way we can act on the areas at greatest risk of sagging on our body such as arms, abdomen, thighs and inner thighs, knees and buttocks.
