Anti age treatments for the face

What to pay attention to slow aging

The passage of time is inevitable, it is true, and with it skin aging. Although it is physiological process, however, in particular with regard to the face, today more and more with healthy habits and advanced anti-aging treatments we can improve the appearance and quality of our skin, until it comes to counteract the aging process and visibly slow it down.

What actually happens in our skin with the passing of time?

Skin aging depends on many age-related factors that slowly lead to tissue modification. The most obvious signs of this process are:

  • the appearance of signs and wrinkles, due to the failure of fibroblasts (connective tissue cells)
  • relaxation of tone and elasticity, due to a slower cell replacement
  • the appearance of bags and swellings in the area of the eye contour
  • the appearance of spots

What changes should we pay more attention to keep the look of our face young and fresh?

A fundamental element that changes over time and affects the elasticity of the face skin is thehydration and the ability of cells to maintain water. Avoiding water dispersion is one of the key elements of face tone and fresh appearance, along with protein fibers collagen and thehyaluronic acid, we often hear about.

Collagen is a very important component, because it is a protein present in great quantity in the dermis and plays an important support function that makes the skin compact, smooth and toned.

Hyaluronic acid is a substance naturally produced by our organism present in the connective tissue that moisturizes and maintains elastic fibers, since it has the characteristic of binding and retaining water. Hyaluronic acid also has a protective and filtering function of tissues because it is a kind of scaffolding that sustains them.

Trying to preserve these two very important substances over time is essential.

During adolescence, cell turnover is quite frequent and the skin is renewed every about 14 days. At 25 years this time span doubles and, with the passing of the years, the interval is getting longer. When cell replacement becomes slower it means that new cells take more time to take the place of dead cells that in this way accumulate, while poorer it becomes the production of collagen and hyaluronic acid which is important to replenish.

Some areas of the face like the eye contour, they tend to suffer a lot of changes, since the skin is thinner and, consequently, the loss of elasticity can be even more evident.

Other external factors may also affect the slowing of cell renewal, such as exposure to UV rays and other aggressive agents that generally help reduce hydration and collagen production, as well as affect melanin. In fact, a greater or lesser concentration of melanin, i.e. the set of pigments of which our skin is made, distributed regularly gives a uniform color; when this does not appear stains and extremities.

If you want to keep your skin fresh and young better from adopting a beauty routine and using advanced cosmetic products that help us:

  • preserve hydration
  • supplement antioxidants that stimulate cell renewal
  • use cosmetic preparations that attenuate the signs of time, protect us from aggressive factors and act in tune with our natural defenses, because thanks to ingredients of natural origin, support and reactivate the production of collagen and hyaluronic acid.
  • Pay attention to make-up ingredients that we use daily and not consider only decorative products but also of real skincare treatments that can protect and nourish our skin during all hours of the day.
